Plant details

Meet this plant.

  • Botanical Name: Anubias barteri var. nana ‘Pinto’

  • Common Name(s): Anubias Nana Pinto, Pinto Anubias, Variegated Anubias

  • Description: Anubias Nana Pinto is a rare and highly sought-after aquatic plant prized for its striking variegated foliage. Its compact leaves display a beautiful marbled pattern of creamy white and vibrant green, making each leaf uniquely patterned. This slow-growing variety stays small and bushy, making it ideal for nano aquariums, foreground placement, or attaching to driftwood and rocks. Its bold coloration provides stunning contrast in aquascapes and creates a refined, high-end look in planted tanks.

  • Care: Anubias Nana Pinto is hardy but benefits from stable water conditions to maintain its variegation. It thrives in low to moderate light; however, slightly higher light can help enhance leaf coloration (avoid intense lighting to prevent algae buildup on leaves). CO₂ is not required but can support healthier growth. Keep the rhizome above the substrate to prevent rot. It prefers temperatures between 72–82°F and adapts to a wide range of water parameters. Due to its slow growth rate, minimal trimming is needed, making it a low-maintenance yet premium addition to aquariums.

Questions about plant options, delivery, tracking, or an order? Inty is here to help before and after your purchase.

Will my plant look exactly like the photo?

Live plants naturally vary in height, branching, leaf count, color, and shape. Photos show the variety and typical presentation.

Can items arrive separately?

Yes. Plants can have different preparation times and packaging needs, so one order may receive more than one tracking number.

What should I do when it arrives?

Unpack promptly, inspect the plant, water only when needed, and let it acclimate before making major care changes.
