Bubba Jones Desert Willow Tree

Bubba Jones Desert Willow (Chilopsis linearis 'Bubba Jones') is a deciduous ornamental with narrow green leaves and trumpet-shaped flowers in pink to deeper rose tones. Its natural form can be multi-stemmed; do not assume that every supplied plant has a single trunk. Low seed production does not mean completely seedless.

Growing notes

Give it full sun and excellent drainage. Avoid sites that stay wet after rain: prolonged wet roots can lead to root rot. Water consistently during establishment, then adjust to soil moisture and weather. A newly planted tree still needs attention even though established specimens tolerate drought. Select the listed height and container combination for the plant being supplied. For example, 2–3 ft. (7G) describes the listed supplied height range and nursery container, not the eventual size. Leave substantial room for a spreading tree. Decorative containers are not included. Leaves can drop in autumn or during extended drought. Flowering and fullness vary by season, and blooms are not guaranteed at delivery. Expect some seasonal leaf and flower cleanup.
