Plant details

Meet this plant.

  • Botanical Name: Hygrophila angustifolia
  • Common Name(s): Narrow Leaf Hygrophila, Willow Hygro

  • Description: Hygrophila angustifolia is a fast-growing aquatic stem plant known for its long, slender, willow-like green leaves. It produces upright stems that can reach the water surface in aquariums, creating a lush, vertical background effect. The leaves are narrow and slightly pointed, giving it a graceful, flowing appearance when placed in tanks with moderate water movement. This plant is popular in freshwater aquariums due to its hardiness and vibrant green color, making it ideal for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

  • Care:

Lighting: Moderate to high lighting promotes faster growth and fuller foliage.
CO₂: Not required but benefits from CO₂ supplementation for denser growth.
Substrate: Grows well in nutrient-rich substrate but can also absorb nutrients from the water column.
Water Parameters: Prefers temperatures between 22–28°C, pH 6.0–7.5.
Maintenance: Regular trimming is recommended to control height and encourage bushier growth. Propagates easily by cutting and replanting stem cuttings.

Questions about plant options, delivery, tracking, or an order? Inty is here to help before and after your purchase.

Will my plant look exactly like the photo?

Live plants naturally vary in height, branching, leaf count, color, and shape. Photos show the variety and typical presentation.

Can items arrive separately?

Yes. Plants can have different preparation times and packaging needs, so one order may receive more than one tracking number.

What should I do when it arrives?

Unpack promptly, inspect the plant, water only when needed, and let it acclimate before making major care changes.
