Plant details
Meet this plant.
Pinguicula medusina is a perennial heterophyllous species that produces glandular carnivorous leaves during summer and a subterranean bulb during winter. These butterworts are found on gypsum hills at Laguna Encantata, about 3km north from Santiago Juxtlahuaca in the state of Oaxaca. Pinguicula medusina was discovered by Alfred Lau in 1977, but was given species status in 2000. Pinguicula medusina is closely related to Pinguicula heterophylla. However, P. medusina can also be propagated when small plantlets are formed at the end of the leaves and can grow on pypsum soil.

Questions about plant options, delivery, tracking, or an order? Inty is here to help before and after your purchase.
Will my plant look exactly like the photo?
Live plants naturally vary in height, branching, leaf count, color, and shape. Photos show the variety and typical presentation.
Can items arrive separately?
Yes. Plants can have different preparation times and packaging needs, so one order may receive more than one tracking number.
What should I do when it arrives?
Unpack promptly, inspect the plant, water only when needed, and let it acclimate before making major care changes.
