Plant details
Meet this plant.
- Botanical Name: Euphorbia tithymaloides Variegated
- Common Names: Variegated Devil's Backbone
- Description: Delightfully crooked, zig-zag stems give Variegated Devil’s Backbone its wild, rebellious look and playful nickname. Variegation in shades of chartreuse, yellow and cream highlight the edges of the small, pointed leaves, adding extra appeal to its exotic form. In the cooler winter months, the leaf edges can take on a pink hue. This colorful, succulent shrub makes a uniquely sculptural houseplant specimen. Also called Jacob’s Ladder, or Redbird Flower, the plant can develop tiny red flowers on the growing tips in spring, however they often don’t bloom in cultivation. Grow in a well-draining, light potting mix, and avoid extended periods of extreme dryness, which can cause leaf drop.

Questions about plant options, delivery, tracking, or an order? Inty is here to help before and after your purchase.
Will my plant look exactly like the photo?
Live plants naturally vary in height, branching, leaf count, color, and shape. Photos show the variety and typical presentation.
Can items arrive separately?
Yes. Plants can have different preparation times and packaging needs, so one order may receive more than one tracking number.
What should I do when it arrives?
Unpack promptly, inspect the plant, water only when needed, and let it acclimate before making major care changes.
