Quailberry is a slow-growing Florida native shrub with a low, spreading habit. Small white flowers and red fruits add interest when conditions are suitable, making it useful in warm-climate native gardens and low plantings.

Growing notes

Best suited outdoors to USDA zones 10a–11. Usually about 1–2 feet tall, sometimes taller, with room to spread 1–3 feet. Choose full or partial sun and well-drained sandy or limestone-based soil. Avoid flooding and direct salt spray. Water during establishment. Fruit presence is not guaranteed on arrival; this is an ornamental live plant rather than harvested berries.
