Grow goji berries as a fruiting shrub with arching stems, purple flowers and seasonal orange-red berries. It suits a sunny edible garden with room to support and manage its spreading growth.

Planting and care
Choose full sun and freely draining soil. Water during establishment and check containers regularly rather than treating drought tolerance as a reason to skip watering. Train the arching stems against a suitable support if needed. Light spring pruning can remove older wood and shorten overlong shoots.
What to expect
Goji is deciduous: seasonal leaf loss is normal. Stems can carry spines, so leave access for pruning and picking. It can grow into a substantial shrub and may produce suckers; allow space and manage unwanted growth. Berries are seasonal and are not promised at delivery. A live plant needs time and suitable conditions to establish and crop.
